Yukichi Fukuzawa
Yukichi Fukuzawa was a prominent figure during the Meiji Restoration period in Japan. He was a philosopher, educator, and writer who played a significant role in the modernization of Japan. Fukuzawa believed that Japan needed to adopt Western ideas and technologies to catch up with the rest of the world. He was a strong advocate for education and founded Keio University, one of the most prestigious universities in Japan.
